Established in 1991 by Derek Antonio Serra, CENTRAL CASTINGS is the longest-surviving artist agency in South Africa, and has supplied literally tens of thousands of extras on hundreds of productions in its 15 years of service to the film industry.

The agency pioneered the concept of FULL SERVICE on crowds, which includes catering and on-set management at competitive rates. Our rate for full service on crowds of 60 - 200 extras is R 630/extra. On 200+ extras it drops to R 600/extra. Rate is negotiable on much larger crowds. Transport can be supplied on request.

Our FEATURED DIVISION represents some of South Africa's most sought after characters for principal roles in TV commercials. Several of our artists are so popular that when they vacation in Europe they are approached for autographs!
